DW-ONE Ballast Weight – Biathlon Rifle Balance Weight

The DW-ONE Ballast Weight is a compact balance weight designed to adjust the weight distribution of a biathlon rifle according to the individual athlete's preferences.

Available in 50 g and 100 g, the weight features a compact design and secure screw fastening. Installation and adjustment are performed using a 4 mm hex key.

Balance and stability

Changing the amount and position of additional weight affects how the rifle feels and behaves in the shooting position.

Additional weight, particularly when positioned towards the front of the rifle, can increase its moment of inertia and make it less sensitive to small and rapid movements. This can be useful during standing shooting in windy conditions, where a suitable balance or barrel weight may help reduce movement of the rifle.

More weight is not automatically better. The amount and position should be adapted to the athlete's strength, shooting position and preferred rifle balance.

Variants

50 g – for a smaller adjustment of the rifle's weight distribution.
100 g – for a greater change in weight and balance.
