From Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Estonia – different backgrounds, different goals and different experiences, but the same love for biathlon.
🇸🇪 Aron Lundqvist
Tullus SG – Sweden
Aron Lundqvist is a young Swedish biathlete competing for Tullus SG and continues as part of Team Skidskytteexperten for the 2026/2027 season.
After a strong previous competition season, Aron’s goal is to continue performing at the same level while taking further steps in his development. One of his biggest hopes for the coming season is to earn the opportunity to represent Sweden at the Youth Olympic Games.
A lot has also happened in Aron’s biathlon journey recently. He has started at a biathlon high school and joined Team Dina Försäkringar. Both have given him a new training environment and, above all, many new training partners – something he currently describes as one of the most enjoyable parts of biathlon.
Away from training and competition, Aron has a strong interest in sports and enjoys following as many different sports as possible. When he wants to switch off from training, fishing is one of his favourite ways to spend his free time.
For Skidskytteexperten, it is a pleasure to continue following Aron as he takes the next steps in his development. With biathlon high school, a new training environment and ambitious goals for the season ahead, an exciting year awaits – and we look forward to being part of the journey.
🇳🇴 Maja Kristina Ekholm Svendsen
14 years old – Byåsen Skiskytterlag – Norway
Maja Kristina Ekholm Svendsen is a young Norwegian biathlete with a strong passion for both training and competition. For the 2026/2027 season, she continues as part of Team Skidskytteexperten, with clear goals and plenty of motivation to keep developing.
One of Maja’s main goals for the season is to become faster on the shooting range. She is also aiming high in competition, with ambitions to win the Trøndercupen and achieve top results at major events such as HL and Liatoppen.
What Maja enjoys most about biathlon is travelling to competitions away from home. These races give her the opportunity to meet and compete against athletes she does not normally race against – something that makes competition even more exciting.
Training is also a big part of what she loves about the sport. In fact, asking Maja to choose her favourite type of training is not easy – she enjoys them all! She especially likes days where training and spending time with friends and teammates fill the entire day.
Away from biathlon, Maja enjoys spending time with friends, reading and cooking.
She is particularly proud of her performances at competitions such as Liatoppen, Kvalfoss and Trøndercupen. She also remembers one shooting session especially well, when she missed only a single shot in standing throughout the entire practice.
As part of Team Skidskytteexperten, Maja is looking forward to testing new products and gaining access to knowledge and expertise that can help her continue developing as a biathlete.
For Skidskytteexperten, it will be exciting to follow Maja’s journey and support her as she works towards her goals – both on the shooting range and out on the course.
🇫🇮 Eevi Valjus
Born 2013 – Kymin Koskenpojat, Kotka – Finland
Eevi Valjus is a young Finnish biathlete from Kotka who competes for Kymin Koskenpojat. For the 2026/2027 season, she continues as part of Team Skidskytteexperten, with the goal of continuing to develop both on the shooting range and on the ski track.
One of the things Eevi enjoys most about biathlon is the sense of community. Through the sport, she has made many new friends from all over Finland. Even though they compete against each other, everyone still cheers for and supports one another.
When it comes to racing, sprint is Eevi’s favourite discipline. But she also enjoys long training sessions and loves spending hours skiing in the fells of Lapland.
Eevi combines biathlon with another sport – football. She plays as a defender for FC KTP. When she is not training or competing, she enjoys spending time with friends, swimming and simply having fun.
For the coming season, Eevi wants to continue developing as a biathlete. One important area is improving her sling shooting, while also working on becoming faster and stronger on skis.
For Skidskytteexperten, it is a pleasure to continue following Eevi’s development. Her curiosity, enthusiasm for training and appreciation of the friendships and community within biathlon fit perfectly with what we want Team Skidskytteexperten to represent.
🇩🇰 Leonora Ishøj Rønhede
Denmark / Team Intersport, Lillehammer
Leonora – or Leo – continues as part of Team Skidskytteexperten for the 2026/2027 season. After four years at the biathlon high school in Torsby, she has now taken the next step and moved to Lillehammer, Norway, where she trains with Team Intersport while studying Business Administration at the University of Inland Norway.
The upcoming season promises to be an exciting one. Leonora is aiming for a top-eight finish at the Junior World Championships in Poland and a top-15 result in the IBU Cup. But above all, a completely new experience awaits her: her World Cup debut, where she already knows she will get the opportunity to compete.
On the shooting range, Leonora’s main focus is on becoming a more consistent and faster shooter. She is especially looking forward to competing in her final Junior World Championships and getting the chance to test herself at World Cup level for the first time.
Alongside biathlon, Leonora is studying for a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Combining elite sport with university studies suits her well – with plenty of energy and a love of having several things going on at once, she thrives in a busy environment.
For Skidskytteexperten, it is especially rewarding to continue following Leonora’s journey as she moves on from her junior years and takes the next step in her biathlon career.
🇪🇪 Joanna Noormets
Estonia
Joanna joins Team Skidskytteexperten for the 2026/2027 season with clear international ambitions.
Her first challenges will be the national selection races and the Estonian Championships. Her goal is to qualify for the Estonian team and earn the opportunity to compete internationally, with the Junior World Championships and the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) among the major goals of the season.
Joanna is particularly focused on improving her skiing speed and shooting accuracy. Ahead of this season, she is following an individual training programme and working in a more structured and goal-oriented way with her development.
🇪🇪 Karmen Noormets
Estonia
Karmen joins Team Skidskytteexperten for 2026/2027, entering the season with a focus on both development and maintaining her enjoyment of the sport.
She wants to improve her skiing speed and technique while also taking another step forward in standing shooting. Her goal is to perform well at the Estonian Championships and earn the opportunity to represent Estonia internationally, including in the Junior Cup and EYOF.
For Karmen, the season is also about gaining new experiences, continuing to develop as a biathlete and maintaining her motivation and enjoyment throughout the process.
