This policy describes the principles and requirements that apply to the sale of biathlon rifles and ammunition through Skidskytteexperten, in accordance with Swedish legislation and applicable regulations.
The policy applies to both private individuals and clubs/associations.
The sale of firearms and ammunition in Sweden is regulated by national firearms legislation.
As a retailer, Skidskytteexperten is obligated to ensure that all sales comply with these laws.
This means that certain products can only be sold after valid documentation has been reviewed and approved.
The sale of firearms (including biathlon rifles) requires:
A valid firearms licence issued by the Swedish Police Authority, or
In the case of club-owned rifles, documentation showing that the rifle will be registered to an approved club or association in accordance with current regulations.
Firearms are never shipped until all required documentation has been received and verified.
The sale of ammunition is subject to legal requirements and may require:
A valid firearms licence for the relevant calibre, or
Approved documentation showing that the purchase is made on behalf of a club or association authorised to hold ammunition.
Ammunition is only supplied when legal requirements are fulfilled.
All documentation is reviewed manually.
Orders that require verification are placed on hold until approval is completed.
If documentation is incomplete or does not meet legal requirements, the order will be cancelled or adjusted.
This process is in place to ensure safe, lawful and responsible handling of firearms and ammunition.
Due to national firearms legislation, the sale of firearms and ammunition is subject to country-specific regulations.
International customers are encouraged to contact Skidskytteexperten before placing an order to discuss what is legally possible in their specific case.
If you have questions regarding firearms licences, documentation, or the ordering process, please get in touch before placing an order.
